ABOUT COMMON GROUND JOURNEYS

Common Ground Journeys, Inc. is a not for profit bicycle tour company that is dedicated to deeply meaningful yet economical travel within Viet Nam.

Our purpose is to guide you through the exceptional adventure of a comprehensive Viet Nam tour with full support from local experts all along our route.

Tour leader Hung Luong is a native Vietnamese, born and raised in Phan Thiet, and now a US citizen. Hung has the desire to bridge the two cultures and their understanding of each other. He believes people should not make profits from well-intentioned tourists.

The trip cost is marked up a nominal amount to be left behind and put toward the education of Vietnamese children.

As you travel with us through Viet Nam, you will see the projects made possible by previous riders on our tours. Our in-country guides will be VYC Travel (Volunteer Youth Corporation), which is a tremendous travel company in Viet Nam with a lot of experience supporting bicycle tours. They also love our idea of combining travel, cultural exchange and helping, and therefore are fully behind and supportive of the trip. The local government in the areas where projects are in place are very welcoming and sincere.

Our goal is to provide a wonderful bicycling experience that gives our riders a better understanding of Viet Nam, her people, and their culture. Our rewards from these efforts are not monetary. The new friendships we make and knowing we are making a difference for children living in disadvantaged areas of Viet Nam are the things most satisfying and rewarding for us.
